Executive Producer & Host
Making the choice to homeschool easier.
Julie Moore is Texas born and raised. She studied Music Performance at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX where she met, married, and started a family with her husband, Jeff. Passionate about personal freedom and responsibility, homeschooling was a natural fit. With encouragement from friends and family, Julie started the Beyond Curriculum Podcast in early 2017. When she is not homeschooling or podcasting, Julie can usually be found at her kitchen table researching, developing, writing, or consulting for her first business venture–Talent Insights. She also enjoys spending time with Jeff over a wonderful meal, taking in a musical performance, or walking the beautiful streets of downtown Fort Worth. Grateful for the fruits of homeschooling, Julie looks for opportunities to encourage and guide others down this rewarding path.
Using sound to enhance communication.
Jeff was born a musician. And because they sat side-by-side through the same classes and rehearsals at Hardin-Simmons, Julie knew just who to go to for the sound engineering and production needs of the podcast. He has also enjoyed other unique composing opportunities for the internationally acclaimed Dorothy Shaw Bell Choir as well as an original score for the indie film, User ID. In his free time, Jeff enjoys game nights, movie nights, or get-aways to vacation spots where the cell phones don’t work. With an intellectual creativity, Jeff enhances the listener’s experience by weaving musical hints of thoughts and feelings throughout the narrative of each episode.
